At JEB, we’re committed to worker, site, and customer safety. It’s our goal for our employees and other workers and site visitors to return home safely at the end of every day – and in the same condition in which they arrived at our job sites.
That’s why our leadership and construction superintendents are so vigilant about job-site safety and why we provide comprehensive annual safety training to all of our employees.
More Than a Decade Without a Lost Time or OSHA Recordable Incident
JEB Environmental Technologies has not had a Lost Time or OSHA Recordable incident since 2007. That’s a testament to how much we value and prioritize the safety of our projects.
An EMR of .80
At .80, JEB’s experience modification rate is well below the industry average of 1.0. This is achieved, in part, by JEB self-performing the majority of the work.
Annual Safety Training for Every Employee
Because we take safety so seriously, we ensure that each of our employees receives extensive safety training every year.
Some of the key topics are:
- Excavation, Trenching and Confined Space Entry
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Electrical, Lockout/Tag-out (LOTO) Procedures
- Aerial, Fork and Scissor Lift Safety
- Fall Protection, Scaffolding & Ladder Safety
- Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)
- Oxygen/Acetylene Safe Transport and Handling
- Chainsaw Safety
- Silica and Silica Exposure
CPR and Advanced First-Aid
In addition, all JEB superintendents and key personnel are trained in CPR and Advanced First Aid.
